FEARS FOR A STEAMER
FOUNDERED WITH ALL HANDS. OFF THE AUSTRALIAN COAST. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright, Received 20. 8.45 p.m. Sydney, September 20. A passing steamer sighted wreckage, consisting of hatches and doors, oft Smoky Gape, where the Rosedale was last seen on Friday, just before the southerly gale started. A steamer has been sent to investigate, but it is feared the Rosedale has foundered with all hands.
The crew consisted of the following:— Captain Emerson, Chief Officer Ferrick. Second Officer Davies; Chief Steward ' * Owen, Second Steward ITood, Cook Cliaafe, Stewardess Hafferty, Chief Engineer Harrowcr, Second Engineer Spe-er, Donkeyman Palmer; firemen, Kelly, Itnssell and Nordblom; seamen, ■Tanson, Dyer, Whalgren, McDonald and Jack.
■ Passengers: Messrs.' Anderson, Dun-' can and Matammey; Mesdames Murphy and Cooff; and three others, the nnmesj being unknown. f
