FIRES.
A STORE DESTROYED. By Telegraph—PreßS Association. Taihape, Yesterday. About 8 p.m. on Saturday a fire in Ellis and Darville's Store at Mataroa totally destroyed the buildings and stock. The fire originated in a storeroom whore a lamp was being used. It was discovered in flames after a short absence »f the manager from the, room. The insurances are: Alliance Ollice, on the buildings .£301), stock £7OO, and in the Victoria Office on the stock £475.
