MASTERTOX SESSIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Masterton, Last Night. A case was heard in the Supreme Court to-day in which J. J. Kelliher, law clerk, claimed from .Jabez Bridges, the organiser of the No-license League, the sum of £IOO2 for alleged libel, contained in a letter and report of a meeting published in the Wairarajia Age. After' hearing evidence for the plaintiff, his Honor directed that a verdict be given for defendant on the greund that the plaintiff had aln»ady accepted' a of £4O from the Wairarapa Age jn satisfaction of his claim for damages. lin respect to the same libel. The jury I returned a verdict accordingly, with costs.
