NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. The annual general meeting wa« heUt in .the pavilion last night. There was a large attendance of members. Mr. Ceorgo Grey, president, was in the chair. .1 he chairman congratulated members on the prosperity of the club, a,ml expressed the hope that it would continue to prosper. lie. spoke of the good work done on the green, and hoped the result of the committee's labors would be satisfactory to members. The report for the past year, and statement ol" receipts and expenditure, were read and adopted. Prizes gained last season were presented as (follows: Champion Cup, won by Mr. C. I. lliiiiidle: "Pairs" competition, won iby Messrs. {-'oilins and Hooper;' vicepresidents' prizes, won by Messrs. S. Rundle and Wood. Tile following officeben reus were elected: President, Mr. A. (io!dw«tter; rice-presidents, Messrs. Brooking and S. Bundle; secretary and treasurer, Mr. \\. N. Kxving; committee, Messrs. A. K. Smart, M. Kra«er, .T. S, Mealey, iA. C. H. Collins, T. Avery, J. C. Morey. Delegates to New Zealand Bowling Association, Col. Collins. Attention was called to the fact that during last season fiiTS [Havers enjoyed games on the green. A motion, moved bv Mr. Penn, on behalf of Mr. Ciovett, and seconded by Mr. T. Avery, to reduce the limit ol lro playing members ,to 100, was lost. Mr. Brooking moved, and Mr. ■> mdyt Bpoomled. "That ;in entrance fee of .1/2 2s ho paid by all joinmg tho clim, excepting gentlemen who were ipreviously members of the New Plymouth Club, but who had resigned their membership and desired to rejoin." Hie motion was carried. An amendment that the entrance fee be iVj 3s was lost. 'Mr. .Kwing moved, and Air. J. C. Morey seconded, "That the annual sub•scription for playing members be £2 10s. '—Carried. Votes of thanks to outgoing officers, the ladies who kindlv assisted by presiding at afternoon 'teas, :the. press, and chair-mail, concluded the business.
