SHARES IX THE XEW TEXTURE. In view of the many enquiries received by the directors of the Tararoaki Petroleum Company as to whcthei the purchasing company will offer anv of its shares i n Xew Zealand, a cable was sent to Mr. J. 1). Henry on Thursday, asking if 50,000 shares could be, reserved to the Dominion, in addition to the 30,000 which constitute part payment to present shareholders for' their undertaking. On .Saturday morning a reply was received by Mr. C. E. liellringer, acting-chairman, saying that it is intended to offer 50,000 additional shares in Xew Zealand. Mr. Henry adds that the chairman of his group (Mr. H. ■!. Brown) expects to reach Xeiw Zealand during November, accompanicd by Mr. C. Carter.
'Mr. Okoy is to ask the Minister for Mines whether, in order to assist in having the different parts of the Dominion thoroughly tested for oil, lie will grant a poundl-for-pound bonus on the cost of all bores over 3000 ft. in depth.
