Mr. Bourassa, the leader of the Nationalists, assured a crowded demonstration that the creed of the Nationalists was not anti-British. Loyalty to Canada was first and afterwards loyalty to the Mother Country. If Canada were attacked, even by France, the duty of all loyal Canadians, French or English, would be to arm themselves. The speech caused a profound impression.
