Decorations in honor of the visit of Sir Wilfrid La wrier to Windsor, Ontario, included the Australian flag. It caused excitement among the people, who_ thought the Union Jack with the Southern Cross was intended as a forecast of the Canadian ensign under reciprocity. The belief that it was a mixture of the Union .lack and the Stars and Stripes needed an explanation, which was satisfactory.
