Mr. Joseph Chamberlain has- been elected vice-president of the Imperial Mission, whose policy i« to promote Imperialistic ideas in the Empire, to emphasise the benefits of solidarity in commerce and defence, and direct the current of emigration towards the overseas dominions. Sir John Quick will form a Victorian branch. Sir John Forrest is president of the Westralian branch. Mr. Mauger will confer with Mr. Deakin with a view to promoting interest in the movement. Branches are being formed in Sydney and Adealide.
