KAIMIRO. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Something of the unusual took place here at the public hall in the form of a cribbage and euchre tournament between the Cribbage Club and the Debating Society. The tables on both sides of the hall were nicely laid out for the occasion. The Club won by a large margin over the Society compared with points, The prizes were awarded; — Crib: Miss Simpson (Durham road) 1, and Mr. LV Goppevth second; euchre, Miss llinz first and .Vtr. James second. After this, the floor was cleared' for. dancing, which was fairly well attended by both sexes. Music was supplied by the usual' orchestra, extras being played by Mrs. E. Gopperth. During the evening "Ora Pro Nobis" was sung by Mr. L. Earp. Praise is due to the committee for the success of the function. The weather here is all that can be wished for. In fact, the oldest identities of this district say that it is many years since they experienced such a winter, and thai with a good spring on the top of J1 V 2 d per lb for butter-fat will make the shareholders of Ute Mangorei Dairy Co. smile.
