Huddart-i 1 Parker Company,' a claim of £lO for v the loss of luggage, the Magistrate gave, judgment for plaintiff, holding that the j condition on the ticket that a passenger' carried luggage at his own risk was unreasonable. MERCHANT SERVICE DISPUTE. Wellington, Yesterday. Evidence was taken in the Arbitration Court to-day in the Merchant Service dispute. Mr. Pry or, representing the Shipmasters' Association, objected to the inclusion of the masters in the. dispute. It had been understood that ithey were to be eliminated, and he urged that the evidence of the other officers should ibe. taken first. Mr. Justice Sim said that the dispute should be divided into two sections. He would hear the case of the officers first. Evidence was then taken as to the tedious and trying nature of the officers' work, the long hours, and grave responsibility.
