-MAX CUTS 11IS THROAT. A man in an obviously weak state of health, and who had apparently been without food for some time, was discovered with his throat cat last evening at (i.2(). An oll'ieer of the tSalvutioit Annv, passing the foot of Maryland Hill, came across the unfortunate man. and immediately apprised Constable Liston. Senior Sergeant Dant and the constable went at once to the "spot with a cab, and took the man to tlie hospital, where he lies in a precarious condition. It is a-sumed that the unfortunate man is a stranger to New Plymouth, and it is doulbtful if he will recover.
