DEAD BODY FOUND. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Yesterday. The dead body of an elderly man was found in a doorway. The only clue to his identity was a letter in his pocket addressed to Dingley King. The address was partly obliterated. FATAL FALL PRO.VI A LOFT. Gisbornc, August 31. John Chisholm, aged 40, died from injuries received from a fall from the loft of the stables where he was living. An inquest was deemed unnecessary. CHILD BURNED TO DEATH. Nelson, Last Night. Information was received in town today that a child named Ivuss, the daughter of a resident of Tui, succumbed to injuries sustained through its nightdress catching lire. EGPERED IN TRAM-CAR. Dunedin, Last Night. At 1 o'clock this afternoon .Mr. John Edmosid Hay, 76 years of age, boarded a tram-car at Cargill's corner. Just as the car reached the shed points he leaned over towards his wife, wjio was sitting beside him, and suddenly expired.
