DEGREES OF PERJURY. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Christchurch, Yesterday. Jack, who pleaded guilty to the charge of perjury in connection with the Oashel street mystery, was sentenced this morning to one year's imprisonment. Mr. Justice Denniston said that perjury in self defence was not so serious a; crime as perjury for the purpose of injuring another. J GISBORNE HARBOR. ' Gisborne, Yesterday.
