[NGLEWOOD (2) y. STRATFORD (2). Considerable interest was taken in the ilay-on' match between Stratford (winlers of the southern division) and Inglc-A-ood (winners of the northern division). A very fast but indecisive game enmed, each side scoring two goals. Inglesvood had the better of the first* spell and innexed the only goal, Jim Harris scoring. Soon after resuming Jack Harris icored another goal for the home team, rhere was no further score until about half-way through the spell, when Stratford scored two goals in quick succession through the medium of Tocker and Dudson. From thence to the end play was fairly even, and neither side was able to score. Mr. Patterson was referee. The match will be replayed again either at Hawera 'or New Plymouth. The roughness of the Stratford ground prevents the match being played there.
