I Tin? following is tlio mine manager's report for week ending August 10, MM: jU'ordon.—The low level crosscut in this section lias been extended a further distance of Hi feet for the week, and I regret to say that this face is now entering a very tight section of country. 1 find it will be necessary to stop driv- I iilg operations for a week or so at this p&infc so as to push on with the drive oti the George reef with three shifts for a [distance of 25ft, so that we will then be away from all interruption from the main crosscut. I am getting a hopper rqaily for the storage of ore won from tljis reef, and I am also having the assay ofliee completed. Additional men have been engaged so as to push forward all works njpon this section. Volunteer.—'More timbering had to be done in this level than was at first thought necessary, so that driving operations have only been resumed to-day.
