[ Mr. G. Pearce, who has been in business in,Waitara as a co.tchbuilder and blacksmith, has disposed of his business to Messrs. 11. Spurdle, Topiis.s and Hill. Mr. Spurdle has been in Mr. Pearee's employ for the past twenty years, Mr. Topliss for several years, and Mr. Hill was with the firm of Honnor and Clarke, of New Plymouth, for the past three years. The new firm has a practical knowledge of the business and district, and should certainly continue its careei as successfully as> their predecessor, who will now take a well-earned rest. •Mr. Pearce has served the town well )>oth in his business and'as a public mans having occupied with credit almost every public position in local ibodies and lodges, etc., in the town. His numerous friends will wish him good health to spend the balance of his days in ease.
