Holway waited upon him to the half distance, and then shot to the front and won comforta-bly. In the ladies' 100 yds. sprint championship of Australia, Miss Moore defeated the holder, Mrs. D. Rennan, by five yards in 13 3-ssec. LACROSSE. Received 23, 1.5 a.m. Sydney, August 22. At lacrosse Victoria beat New South Wales by 8 to 5.
