PEDIGREE AYRSHIRE CATTLE
OLSEN BROS,* ENTERPRISE,
A valuable shipment of pedigree Ayrshire cattle was landed from the Corinna on Sunday for Messrs. Olsen Bros., "Woodlands," Egniont Village. The lot includes one cow, two two-year-old heifers, and one two-year-old bull. These are a new strain of Ayrshire blood to any previously imported, and were picked out under heavy expense from the best milking strains in the Dominion. The cow is a fine stamp of the Ayrshire breed, and has ixien a prize-winner at the leading shows in the South Island. The young stock have not been in a show ring yet, but Mr. Olsen is looking forward to having them at their best for the coming shows, Mr. Cowan, of Oamaru, who bred the above cattle, considers them one of the finest lots he has ever sold, which is saying much, as the name of Cowan is a household word with Ayrshire breeders throughout New Zealand.
