AUCKLAND SESSIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, Friday. In the Supreme Court to-day a native named Wharematangi was charged with and admitted having committed three sexual offences on his sister. He was sentenced to ten years' imprisonment. Robert Barker, on seven charges of false pretences, was sentenced to two months' imprisonment on each charge, the terms to be cumulative. He was also detained for reformative treatment for three years.

A BANKRUPTCY CASE. Auckland, Friday. Walter Francis Darby, warehouseman, ajpplied for his discharge from bankruptcy at the Supreme Court. Judge Edwards, interrupting counsel, who was urging reasons in support of the application, said he knew the whole case from end to end, and had not the slightest idea of granting a discharge, Mr. Earl, solicitor, mentioned that the estate was being satisfactorily wound up, as far as he could gather, and none of the creditors were opposing the discharge. He mentioned one creditor in pairticujar. The Judge said: I don't care a straw for that. He may be squared, for all I know. Mr. Earl assured his Honor that there had been nothing of the kind, to his knowledge. Finally his Honor said he would not grant the discharge until he was persuaded that his present view of bankrupt's conduct, founded on the case in the Court of Appeal, wa« erroneous. The application was allowed to stand over for one week. WELLINGTON SESSIONS. Wellington, Last Night. At the .Supreme Court to-day, before Mr. Justice Sim, Arthur Frederick Charles Davies was found guilty of receiving stolen goods, and was remanded for sentence till Saturday. Robert Parratt, a seagoing fireman, charged with assaulting and robbing Leonard James Hogan. was found guilty of assault, and remanded for sentence till Saturday. William Lyndhurst, for assaulting and robbing John Larmour in an hotel, was sentenced to two years' imprisonment with hard labor.
