THE WRECKED FIFESHIRE.
A MISSING BOAT PICKED UP. By Cable—Press Association —Copyright. London, August 17. The steamer Ardeandeorg, from Calcutta, picked up the Fifeshire's boat, in charge of Woods, the first officer, on Tuesday last in Lat. 13 degrees N. and Long. 49 degrees E. In addition to Woods the boat contained H. Stewart, D. Stewart, ' Gannon, McLean, Wallace. The boat had been driven before the gale for five days. It is presumed she left the wreck manned by members of the crew in" order to seek assistance.
The Admiralty regret that no British warship is sufficiently near enough to Cape Guardafui to participate in the search for the Fifeshire's missing boat.
