BROKEN HILL RETURNS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright Sydney, August 17. The Broken Hill Proprietary Company's profits for the past half year are £ 126,800. The total output of silver was 2,307,014 ounces, a decrease of 381,783 ounces compared with the preceding six months. A CHINESE BOYCOTT. Melbourne, August 17. Members of the Chinese Mission Church are dissatisfied with the new minister selected, and have boycotted the church. INTERFERING POLITICIANS. Adelaide, August 17. The Assembly adopted the Premier's motion congratulating Mr. Asquith on the passage of the Parliament Bill. The Leader of the oposition doubted the wisdom of interfering in the bitter party politics of England.
