The chief demonstration over the passage of the Parliament Bill was in the House of Commons, which was discussing Mr. Lloyd-George's motion ■ for the payment of members. Exultant cheers wore given from the Government benches, ai>d the demonstration continued until the Payment of Members Bill was passed. Messrs. Lee, Hayes-Fisher and Chamberlain vigorously opposed the Bill.

Some papers publish a black list of Unionist peers who voted for the " Betrayal." HOME RULE CAMPAIGN. Received 13. 5.5 p.m. London, August 12. The Liberal members of the House are arranging a Home Rule campaign with a new organisation under the whips' control.
