A RUSSIAN TRAGEDY

JEALOUS MILLIONAIRE AND YOUNG ENGINEER. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 11, 9.40 p.m. Vienna, August 11. Tagnief, a millionaire owner of oilfields in South Russia, sus'pected a young engineer named Baboutof of making love to his wife. He invited a party of friends to Baky, including the engineer, who was stripped and tied to a chair, and terribly beaten by Tagnief and his servants.

Tagniefs wife was then called and shown the almost unrecognisable body. She had a fit, and is now insane. Baboutof died. The latter's relatives have applied for Tagniefs arrest.
