ANGLO-AMERICAN AGREEMENT. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 11. 1.35 a.m. .Washington, August 10. A serious hitch in the Anglo-American Arbitration Treaty has arisen in the Senate. The Foreign Affairs Committee takes strong objection to Britain's proposal to consult the overseas dominions on all matters affecting them. Senator Clarke moved that the whole question be postponed till December. Other Senators objecting, Senator Clarke's motion was withdrawn. The President is preparing to actively intervene.
