La Chronique, a paper which has special sources of information from Berlin, asserts that negotiations are progressing with France less favorably than was reported. GERMANY AND TAHITI. London, August 9. Reuter's Berlin correspondent states that, apropos of the report of the Australian Acting-Premier's speech, 'here •is a reiterated official denial th:" 'lorinany desired Tahiti. Germany a\uided suggesting that compensation might be sought in the Pacific, because she was well aware that this would bring another distinct set of interests into an already sufficiently difficult question. SPECIAL MEETING OF REICHSTAG DEMANDED. Received 10, 11.30 p.m. Berlin, August 10. The Vorwartz demands the summoning of the Reichstag to consider Germany's policy in Morocco.
