Charles Schwab, examined by the Steel Trust Investigation Committee, declared the trust was his own creation. He aided Pierpont Morgan and Andrew Carnegie in the early years of the Steel Company. He did not attempt to curtail the output or fix prices. He simply aided to develop the American steel industry.
