THE DOCKERS' DISPUTE, By Cable—Press Asaociationr-Oopyright. Received 6, 5.5 p.m. London, August 5. Mr. Rollit's award in the dockers' dispute is expected to-morrow. Railwayworkers connected with the Port authority have decided to join the dockers.

STRIKERS ATTACK CARTS. London, August 4. A large force of striking dockers at Belfast attacked carts conveying goods from the quays. The vehicles were overturned and the goods scattered. An agreement has been signed ending the Liverpool strike. It concedes the recognition of the dockers' union, and union houra and pay. CAIRO STRIKERS RESUME. Received 6, 5.5 p.m. Cairo, August 5. Five hundred strikers have resumed work.

THE SUGAR WORKERS' STRIKE.

GENERAL STOPPAGE FEARED. Sydney, August 5. A conference of the Waterside Workers', Federated Seamen's, and Federated Carters and Drivers' Unions has been called at Brisbane for Wednesday to discuss matters in connection with the sugar strike. Delegates from other States have hurriedly left for the north. The conference is likely to have an important effect on the position. Fears are expressed in some quarters that it may be the precursos of 3 general strike of transport workers.
