There is much concern in sports and athletic circles at the possibility ol serious interference, both with summer and winter games, by compulsory military training, on account of the half-day and whole day parades being fixed for statutory half-holidays, the effect being to debar all young men eligible for military training from participating in the sport with which they are identified. It is locally held that military training will increase the difficulties of clubs tind prove detrimental to all sport, especially summer pastimes.
