FRENCH INVENTOR'S DEVICE. TO PREVENT AEROPLANES CAPSIZING. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Paris, July 27. The announcement is made that M. Doutre, the inventor, has perfected a device which has been designed to prevent aeroplanes from capsizing. The new contrivance consists of a rudder at the aviator's feet, which, by an arrangement of delicate springs, answers every change in Velocity or direction of wind, and counteracts sudden currents. M. Doutre has put his invention to a thorough test, and the 309 flights that have been made with it under all conditions have demonstrated its efficacy.
