INSPECTING THE FORCES. j By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 1, 9.30 p.m. London, August 1. The report of the Conference on Imperial defence is published. The Inspec-tor-General of the Oversea Forces only inspects the dominion forces by invitation of the Governments concerned. The Inspector's functions include the inspection of coastal defences, but he will not interfere with the local military policy or schemes, unless invited to do so.
