H.M.S. NIOBE.
A TRYING ORDEAL. By Oable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 2, 1.14 a.m. Ottawa, August 1. The Niobe's hull is pierced in several places. She was re-floated on Sunday. She grounded in a heavy fog. Missing sailors have rejoined the ship safely, one boat being wrecked. The other rescued the men. When the cruiser struck, the position was considered so desperate that the captain ordered all boats to be ready. The two which were missing departed before the order was countermanded. The Niobe will be docked to ascertain the damage.
