THEIR RESPECTIVE SPHERES. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Ottawa, July 28. A memorandum of the conference between Canada, Australia and the British Admiralty on the status of the Dominion forces was tabled this morning. The dominion navies are to be exclusively under the control of the respective Governments, and the training uniform with that in the Imperial Navy. Canada's naval stations will be the North Pacific and the North Atlantic, Australia's the South Pacific to the Antarctic. THE WHITE ENSIGN. UNIFORMITY THE IDEAL. PARAMOUNTCY OF ADMIRALTY. Received 30, 5.5 p.m. London, July 29. Sir W. Harcourt has published the naval agreement between Britain and Canada. Australia and New Zealand provide naval services, each dominion exclusively under the inspection of its own Government, with the training and, discipline in uniformity with the British Navy. Dominion ships will fly the white ensign. The emblem of authority will be the crown, with the specific dominion's flag at the jack staff, and when in foreign waters colonial ships shall report to and take orders from the Admiralty. When British and Dominion ships meet the senior officer commands in matters of ceremony and international intercourse. The Admiralty agrees to lend the .dominions officers and men as required during the development period, giving preference to those coming from the dominions. In war any dominion ships put at the Imperial Government's disposal shall form an integral part of the British fleet, remaining under the Admiralty throughout the war.
