THE DUTCH PEARLER FINED. By Cable—Prew Association—Copyright. Perth, July 18. Captain Smith, a Dutch pearler, has been convicted on all the charges and fined £5 for smuggling, £IOO for entering a place not a, port without reporting and without reasonable cause, £5 for using his vessel for smuggling, £2 10s for using ship's stores before entering them for home consumption, and £5 for interfering with goods, subject to the control of the Customs. The captain of the other vessel was fined the minimum penalties, totalling £l2 10s. SUGAR WORKERS' STRIKE. . 'Brisbane, July 18.
