WIRELESS TELEGRAPHY
EFFECT OF A. JUDGMENT. By Cable.—Press Association.—Copyright. Melbourne, July 13. Mr. Hughes has received a reply from the British Admiralty to a question concerning the effect of the Parker judgment on installations of wireless telegraphy other than the Marconi system. The Admiralty declares that, subject to any appeal or further judicial decision that may effect the decision, no commercial system now known is outside the Marconi master patent.
MARCONI PATENT NOT INFRINGED. Received 13, 9.30 p.m. Sydney, July 13. In regard to the wireless decision, the chairman of directors of the Australian Wireless Company declares that the company has never infringed the Marconi patent. He added that the company protected its clients from all consequences that might result from the judgment for infringement of patents. AN AUSTRALIAN RECORD. Sydney, July 13. The steamers Coma and Riverina established an Australian coastal wireless record covering 2300 miles.
