This announcement was made by the Minister of Agriculture here to-day in replying to congratulations from dairymen upon the recent appointment, which was stated to bo one of very great promise ami importance to'the whole industry. The Minister added that lie had asked the Dairy Commissioner. .Mr. Ciulclie. to recommend the best man on the sinfl' of the department, for the position. It was the desire of the department to station an officer in London whose duty it would lie to tell the producers exactly. from the scientific and practical points of view, the condition in which dairy produce arrived in England.
