New York, July 11. Clifford Harmon and Augustus Post, in a Walloon, had a thrilling experience in the Gordon-Bennett elimination contest. They encountered a terrific thunderstorm, but both landed safely after having been lost in the clouds, with lightning all about them. At noon five contestants were still aloft.
