PAYMENTS GRANTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Retiring allowances amounting to £1215 13s were granted to seventeen contributors by the Railway Superannuation Board at its quarterly meeting to-' day. Allowances to five* widows "and six children of deceased contributors were approved, involving an annual charge of £IOB, and £l2 13s 7d was ordered to be repaid to a member, representing the difference between the benefits received and his actual contributions. To 110 members of the service who have resigned or have retired from various causes, refunds of contributions wore authorised totalling £3050 17s sd.
