A BUILDING GUTTED. Inglewood, Monday. A fire occurred here last night in a seven-roomed house owned by Owen Priest, situated in Konini street, and tenanted by the Singer Company's agent, and resulted in the building being completely destroyed, the Are being too far advanced for the brigade to save it. The insurance on the house is £3>fi in the Victoria Office.
. ANOTHER BOARDIXGHOUSE BURNT. AshbuHon, Last Night. The Metlivc" boarding-house of 18 rooms was totally destroyed by fire this afternoon. The building was owned and occupied by Georgo Dore. The origin of tho lire is unknown. Only a portion of the furniture wis saved. Portn-x nately the wind wns favorable, or else other buildings must have gone to. The new Bank of New Zealand buildings suffered somewhat from the heat, lmmy windows being broken. The insurances are £2oo on the building, and £% on the furniture in the Northern Company.
