FRENCH UNIONS.
STRIKE OF 80,000 THREATENED. By Cables—Press Association.—Copyright Received 11', 12.45 a.m. Paris, July 10. The building and allied unions voted for a strike involving l 80,000 men, owing to the contractors' refusal to grant a nine hours' day and the abolition of piecework. Baritand, the secretary, Viau and Dumont, assistant secretaries of the Stone Masons' Union, were arrested for inciting soldiers to insubordination.
