THE rarawa: The Rarawa arrived from Onehunga yesterday morning with 118 tons of cargo, including I! tons of manure, 50 tons of cement, 8 tons of flour, !) tons of sugar, and 50 cases of fruit, besides GOOOft of timber.
KOONYA DELAYED. The Koonya lias been delayed in Wellington owing to w<;t weather, but is expected to leave to-day for New Plymouth with about 400 tons of cargo. WORLD'S LARGEST VESSEL. The new steamer Europa, which is being constructed for the Hamburg-Ame-rican line, will be, when completed, the largest vessel in the world. She will he flOOft in length and 9f>ft in breadth, with a tonnage of 50,000 and a displacement of 70,000 tons. This will eclipse the new steamers Olmypic and Titanic, which were built for the White Star line, as the latter are S&ift in length. The Europa will have a passenger carrying capacity of 4250, and the crew will j number about 800. including cooks, stewards, etc. She will have two masts and, three funnels, and nine decks above the | water line. One of the new features of the vessel will be its system of ventilation: no ventilators will be seen above the deck as in ordinary steamship';. Air pumps will be fitted to force air into the various departments at a proper temperature, and this will solve the question of ensuring a constant supply of pure air right througfh the ship. In addition to the magnificent rcstauarant which will be fitted on board, there will be a gymnasium, running track, palm court, swimming bath, Turkish bath, and a nursery. Each cabin will be fitted with a telephone that will communicate with a central exchange office fitted up on board, whilst the vessel will carry one of the most powerful wireless intallations that Ims ever been fitted to any ship afloat. It is stated that this mammoth liner will be in commission early in M) 12.(
