Wr'lington beat J-D-Kz, Middlemarch beat Lonsdale, Valorous beat Temuka, Kilfilem beat Despatch, Captain Starlight beat War Rose, The Leader beat Stranger, Headlight a bye. First ties: Wellington beat Middlemarch, Kilfilem beat Valorous, Headlight beat Captain Starlight, The Leader a bye. Second ties: Kilfilem beat Wellington, Headlight beat The Leader. Deciding course: J. Brosnan's Kilfllem, bj Tolstoi—Gertie, beat Wiremu Xeeri's Headlight, and won the stake.
Coronation Stake.—Raffles beat Captain Starlight, Rufus Dewes beat Diffident. Deciding course: J. Higgin's Raffles beat Battieaxe, Ganger's Gift beat Wiremu. Nceri's Rufus Dawea, by Prison Gate beat Pretty Polly, and won the stake.
Supplementary Stake.—Dividend beat Balderdash, Kinock Girl beat Lonsdale, Middlemach beat Temuka. First ties: Kinock CHrl beat Dividend; Midsummer a bye. Deciding course: J. Williamson's Kinock Girl a bye. Raffles beat J. Higgins' Middlemarch, by Greenwood—Sunbonnet, and won the stake.
