DEATH OF A FOOTBALLER.
'TRIBUTE TO HIS POPULARITY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Timaru, Last Night. The funeral of T. Ilcrtnon, who was accidentally killed at football on Thursday, was attended by 800 to 1000 people. The procession of those on foot was nearly half a mile long, and there was. a large number of vehicles, one loaded with the wreaths. Footballers, rowing cliibsj Hibernians, and' Builders' and Bricklayers' unions, with whom he had* been connected, turned out. in -strong fotrce.
