Wedgwood, Liberal member for Neweastle-on-Tyne, asked Mr. Asquith whether, in view of the Government's defeat in the Lords, he would withdraw the Parliament Bill and recommend the creation of peers in order that the will of the people might prevail. Mr. Asquitb said the Government did not intend to withdraw the Bill.
