GOLD AND SILVER.
EXPORTS FOR SEX MONTHS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Monday.During the past six months New Zealand lias exported 220,289' ounces of gold valued at £882,118, a decrease compared with the return of the corresponding period last year, of 4280 ounces, valued at £0553. The quantity of silver sent away during the first half of the present year was 631,353 ounces, valued at £63,322, being' 273,933 ounces, of the value of £27,344, less than in the corresponding period of last year. The last month's return shows a decrease in gold of 2526 ounces, valued at £8495, and a decrease in silver of 80,774 ounces, valued at. £860(1, as compared with June ■•!' laßt year.
