SAUNDERS' PICTURES. Considering the. exceptional merit of the programme offered, it is not surprising that Whiteley Hall was only just large enough to accommodate the crowd that assembled last night to see Saunders' Pictures. It has been said that it is one of the best picture programmes ever introduced to a New Plymouth audience, and it can be said again with equal truth and force. The star films, "The Fall of Troy" and "Semiramis," are simply magnificent, and defy adequate description. They must be seen to be appreciated. Either is worth walking half-a-dozen miles to see. In these works, the cinematograph artist is seen at his best—or, shall we say, latest—and one can understand, after seeing them, how it was that they "captured" the cities of Europe and America for many weeks after their appearance. The rest of the programme is very interesting besides, the industrials dealing with mining in South Africa, salmon fishing, etc., in Canada, and tilemaking in France. Then there are the comics and dramas, all of high merit. The programme is to he repeated tonight, and can confidently be recommended to all who hare not yet had the pleasure of witnessing it, and the pleasure is very real as regards the portrayal of "The Fall of "Iroy" v and "Semirainis" '* ■ v
