RADICAL METHODS ADVOCATED. By Telegraph.—Press Association, Dunedin, Last Night. Drs. Oliamptaloup and Falconer, local health officer. and hospital medical superintendent respectively, are inviting a scheme for the treatment of consumption. The measures contemplated are preventive and curative, and include treatment at a sanaiorioum, tubercular tests at the hospital, a separate ward for advanced eases, employment of a specially trained nurse to visit the homes of the poor under treatment,, and advise suspected cases to go to the hospital to be tested. Provision is also made for more ■frequent inspection of premises by hospital hoard inspectors, and for more frequent notification and re-notifleation of eases.
