Lincoln Beachy, the Califoniian aviator, flew in a biplane ovc; Niagara Falls, beneath the arches of ' ' unper steel bridge, down the gorge ai.nost to the whirlpool, and landed on the Canadian side. His .speed was about fifty . miles an hour. He subsequently declared his inlention of repeating the feat. l Beachey was the first bird-man to dare the Falls. He swooped beneath the j arches of the steel bridge, skimmed down the gorge over the rapids to the whirlpool, and dared death in treacherous air currents and mists. Bobby Leach attempted to make a trip through the rapids and whirlpool in a barrel, and after having been tossed f about for two hours lie was rescued when almost suffocated. s GOODS BY AEROPLANE. Ahe aviator Sopwilh, neroplnning ' around New Yor.k harbor, passing over the steamer Olympic, outward bound, dropped a quantity of merchandise on the liner's deck. These are the first goods so delivered.
