At Newcastle the Now Zealand League team defeated the Hunter River district team by 21 points to 20. There was a drizzling rain, but a large attendance. Play was fast and even throughout the fmst half, which ended: Newcastle 12, New Zealand 10. In the second half the visitors turned the tables, scoring 11 point* to the locals' 8; For New Zealand, Siddels, Seagar, Mason, Woodward, and Stanueaway scored tries, Seagar converting two. Mason kicked a penalty goal. CHRIST'S COLLEGE v. BOYS' HIGH SCHOOL. By Td^jpn*.—Prea* Association. Christehurch, Last Night. The annual football match between Christ's College and the Boys' High Sehool was played to-day. and after an exciting and splendid exhibition, the game ended in a draw, each side scoring six points. The following will represent Tukapa in the benefit match with Star for the "Dan O'Brien" shield this afternoon:— Honeylield, Webster, Stohr, Loveridge, Mynott, McGiven, F.
