Deceased was 33 years of \ i age, and leaves a widow and one child, • WOMAN'S SAD END. Christcaurch, Last Night. A sad death occurred at Sydenham this morning, Mrs. Schultz, of Dudley '. street, Addington, being found drowned in Jackson's Creek. Mrs. Schult* wm residing with her sister, Mrs. Blythe. At ' 6.30 a.m. to-day Mrs. Schultz was seen in her room, and then appeared to be in her usual health and spirits, but at 7 o'clock she was missed, and on ft search being made, a chair'was discover, ed against the backyard fenoe, on the other side of which lies Jacksoift Creek. Mrs. Schultz was found lying face downwards in the creek in about four or five inches of water. She was • J then quite dead. At the inquest a verdict was returned that deceased was found drowned, but there was no evidence to show how she actually got into the water. SUDDEN DEATH., ~-'•" Palmerston N., Last Night. John Sanson, an old and respected resident of Glen Oraua, died suddenly Uh day at the age- of fifty years. Hia father, the late Henry Sanson, was om of the founders of the township of Sandon. YOUNG MAN SUICIDES. Palmerston N., Last Night. Frederick William Schlieriki, aged 29, committed suicide yesterday afternoon by cutting his throat with a razor in a wash-hou.se at his mother's residence. Deceased had been in business as a plumber. The reason for his act is »tf present unknown. DREDGE HAND DROWNED. Dunedin. Last Night. A married man natoed Daniel Findlayson, aged 52 years, residing in Morning. ton, who was employed on the dredge Vulcan, was drowned this afternoon. He was due at work at 3.30 p.m., and on going on board the dredge he had to go down some steps. It is surmised that he slipped off the steps and fell into the water, the body Being found in the water.
