THE ROYAL .HAWAIIAN'S. To-niglit the Royal Hawaiian .musical organisation open at the Th pa tie Royal. The company are be one of the cleverest partus of high-class entertainers that has over toured the American, Canadian and Australian cities, and present an entertainment that from start to finish is tilled with brilliant vocal and instrumental specialities, gorgeous llawiian music, and the pick or the latest concert successes of the European world. Included in the company is the, Hawaiian Glee Club, a select coterie of eight male singers and instrumentalists whose harmonising of English and Hawaiian songs and music has won the highest praise throughout America and Australia. Tonight's performance will be equally balanced with'Engiwu and Hawaiian instrumental and vocal contributions. Amongst the English items will be new settings of "Annie Laurie," ''My J?o,sary." "God's Garden," and manly new ballad solos. An | added feature; will be the Hula dance, | wflich is said to be distinctly novel and i spectacular. There 19 a charm in the! Hawaiian-entertainments that appeals to all classes. Every item of to-nights programme hasi been carefully selected, and all the best.melodies of their repertoire are included. The entertainment is of such a varied nature and possesses so many sparkling features that not a dull moment is allowed to obtrude during the two hours and a-quarter tjie company appear on the stage. In Sydney and •Melbourne every performance of the Royal Hawaiians was greeted with the greatest enthusiasm. The press of those cities were unanimous in their praises. The Sydney Morning Herald of April 10 was especially flattering, and the Sydney Daily Telegraph described the Hawaiians' performitnce as "a unique and clever entertainment; decidedly charming. Each item was encored, double and treble encores being demanded." The Sydney Sunday Sun said that the performance was "deciaedly novel and most refreshing; the enthusiasm was generous and whole- 1 hearted"; and the Sydney Bulletin of April 18 finished,up a glowing notice by saying "the whole show is off the beaten track and may be recommended as a refreshing change.",-The Melbourne Argus of April 20 said: "The performance is delightfully fresh and strikes a new note in amusements by its native music and songs which are judiciously by sweet English ballads." Seats may be booked at Collier's.

THE ROYAL PICTURES' AND ORCHESTRA.

I,he Theatre. Royal is beginning to show signs of what Messrs Crust and Gjedsted have promised us by way of improvements. Carpenters, ' painters, oaperhangers and decorators have been busy for some time, and the theatre now promises to be one of the cosiest in the Dominion. All this should lead us to expect great things from the Royal Pictures and Orchestra, which open'on Saturday next. The pictures embrace every known subjects and all thnt is best in the world's supply of films, including Patlie Frere, Italian Art Films, Russian Art Films. Russian Art Films, American Kinema, Vizza Co., Comica Co., Vitagraph, Broekless Co., and a host of others, totalling thirty in number. Pictures .supplied by the above world-re-nownwl film producers and supported bv a first-class orchestra should undoubtedly prove a successful venture. The box plan opens at Hoffmann's to-morrow morning. .
